I was just looking for a good and reliable method of doing an audio conference with a big number of users using a PC application like Skype. Each user will have a modest Internet connection like a DSL line so hosting the conference of one user computer will basically overload his upload connection.
Fortunately solutions are available for the most used IM/Voice clients:
- Gizmo Project. Go to http://freeconferencecall.com/gizmo/ and read the instructions on their page. The service is also available for users with other SIP clients and an account in SIPPhone network;
- Skype. Go to http://www.highspeedconferencing.com/quick.htm from where you’ll learn how to access the conference center using Skype or a regular PSTN phone.
